SFB 1288 INF — Data Infrastructure and Digital Humanities

This data repository is being developed by the subproject INF of the DFG-funded SFB 1288 “Practices of Comparing”.

INF is responsible for supervising all data- and information-related activities and provides a collaborative digital work and research environment for the whole SFB. By bringing together expertise in the fields of information infrastructure, research data management, and Digital Humanities, the team contributes to the establishment of new research methods in the field of the humanities that support research on practices of comparing.

Building on the experience of our cooperation with other subprojects, we are developing nopaque as a working environment that provides all necessary steps from the preparation of materials to natural language processing to the performance of corpus analyses. In addition, INF is creating a sustainable basis to ensure the long-term availability of the research data collected and used in the SFB. Data Sets and Data Stories that accumulate and describe the stored research data will receive DOIs to make them citable and accessible. This procedure guarantees the transparency and traceability of research findings, theses, and publications.
